My nephew who attends school in The Sugar Land School Dist  was beat up at school in the class room. The teacher did not notice the attack because he was at his computer while his 7th grade class was watching a Video and the lights were turned down. The Class was the last class of the day and the attack happened 5 minutes  before the bell rang. My nephew was able to get the bigger boy off of him but not before he had been beat in the head and sustained bruising and a black eye. My nephew went to the teacher and was not sent to the school nurse but was told to go home along with the boy who had just pummeled him.  My nephew had to have medical attention for his injuries and police reports were filled, but The Schools answer to the incident was 2 days of suspension for my nephew and 3 days for the attacker. I wonder if the School is not truly the Bully because, The recourse available to my nephew has to go through the School police. They are not going to report  anything  that might blemish their record. I wonder how you can stop school violence if you can't embrace the problem. Maybe Sugar land School district should stop sweeping these things under the rug.
