Sunburned, Jury Duty...and Oh Yeah!

I'm about to become a God Mommy!

My BFF (thats what bestfriends are called these days, right?) is days away from delivering little Jazmin. Yes, I already bought her "boots with the fur." Her Godfather is the weekend anchor at CBS in Las Vegas. WE CANT WAIT for her arrival!

Speaking of boots with the fur... its going to be a long time before she can wear them. I am parched beyond parched. I think my skin forgot its ethnicity!

And yeah... for the first time Harris County came calling. I've got jury duty next month. Just another time I wish I was back in Brooks County. Less people, but still never called to serve.

Oh well.....

Oooh a new addition to the family! NICE and CONGRATS!!!

About the sunburn thing, I FEEL YA GIRL! I've been known to over do it at Darque Tan every once in a while-mainly trying to hurry up and get the pasty look away and get the rico suave tan in at the begining of the summer. I just grin and bear it. =(

I can honestly say, that ever since i've moved to Houston (about 14 years ago) i've only been called to serve TWICE (knock on wood). And back in CAMERON COUNTY, NOT ONE TIME!!!

I love Houston, but miss South Texas... ...Have a weakness for pasta and vinegar-soaked cucumbers made by my father-in-law's sister in Kansas or.... The Blue Onion in Weslaco (McAllen too!)...I absolutely love the outdoors, and can never resist a nap! And did I mention I found in Houston the most amazing "better half" I could have ever wished for? Besos!
