A really cool site for learning new words and its definition, and feed the hungry at the same time.

My title is a Quote from a fellow blogger. This one hit home for me. The toxic FEMA trailers issued to Hurricane Katrina survivors are contaminated with formaldehyde.

I read this the other day wow what a mess. Fema what a joke this makes me so mad how can we be safe from our own Government. How many kids have and are being harm by a Government who only cares about their power, and creating a broken down Department run by a bunch of losers like the department of Fema. How does this happen?

In the wake of the high-profile indictment of Michael Vick, the nation has been awakened to the cruelty of animal fighting. Members of Congress, corporate leaders, and people like you are speaking out. And Louisiana and New Mexico enacted laws this year to outlaw cockfighting -- the last two states to join the fold.

Online retailer Amazon is now in the lonely position of promoting animal fighting activities. It's the only online retailer of subscriptions to animal fighting magazines in the United States, and these magazines advertise the sale of fighting animals and cockfighting weapons -- sales made illegal by federal law! The Feathered Warrior even advertised fighting dogs from a dogfighter whose operation makes the enterprise described in the Michael Vick indictment look like a bunch of amateurs.

This nonsense from Amazon must stop -- tell them so right now.

Push this article and boycott Amazon and any company that promotes cruelty to animals.

Let me ask this what does Winter Holiday mean? I am under the understanding it is a politically correct way of expressing Christmas Hmmmm!  We are coming up on the holidays that we as Americans know as religious Holidays do you agree? My question is are Christians getting a fair shake or does it matter that our beliefs are somehow being changed. I know there is a push for other religions in our schools fine with me we have that freedom or do we?

What exactly does our freedom of religion mean? I don’t know. I do know however if I go into parts of the world I can speak of Christianity in certain areas but not in all, although our country allows you to bring in your beliefs into our schools such as we have as Americans the Winter Holiday, Muslims have Rhamadan, Jewish people have Haunika, I guess what I’m asking is where is God in our Christian faith has it some how become all about Santa or Winter? Were Jesus our Greatest Gift I don’t hear his name? Does our country truly allow freedom equally?

This is a wicked 3 part Documentary of how humans are being controlled. Our ideas of freedom is no more a than a thin line of what our laws dictate.

I hope everyone who reads this post ask themselves these simple questions

Is your family important to you?

Would you rather live in poverty or do you seek a better life?

When your loved ones are sick do you not do what it takes to get them help?

If your answer is yes to any of these questions then you should ask yourself most immigrants in this country come here for just that. This fueling of a bad situation we are faced with is not something that happened over night, do you not ask how the HE11 we got to where we are today? We should ask these questions because I fear if we don’t we are setting ourselves up for a lot of tragedies with immigration.

Ask yourself how 30 years of migration from other countries were overlooked, given sanctuary, I have a good idea it started with greed being able hire and work these people who are no different than you or I. I’m not saying being in this country illegally is right I’m saying how do you correct an injustice created through political greed after so many years, do you pick on a few or do you create a plan, do you tear families apart or do you work a solution that creates equality for all people. I for one know I want policies to stop the illegal who are sneaking over here pumping up our borders, next I would send  back those who are sitting in our jails and prisons document them know who they are and get them off the tax payers back, next start an amnesty because believe it or not the ones here are here, most of all I just want to here a plan from our politicians, this hatred is bad and all I have seen since this whole project on immigration is started is a fueling of resentment that was created from a bad situation and laws overlooked for greed. Just my opinion.

The  State of Texas has just performed an audit (July 20, 2007) through their Dept. of Transportation (TxDOT) which recommends dropping our current 18.5 cent per gallon gas tax among other recommendations.
They want to consider replacing the gallon tax with a flat tax based on the miles we drive.

It seems that since we are getting more efficient though our driving habits and more efficient vehicles that the tax revenue has been going down. So government isn't receiving the same amount of money through the gasoline tax because we are  driving more efficient.

The TxDOT audit reports "It is suffering from a lack of transportation funding due to a stagnant motor fuel tax and increased popularity of fuel-efficient vehicles." They go on to say "TxDOT is also losing revenue as more fuel-efficient cars hit the highway."

Basically what this boils down to is that the more efficient we get with our driving habits and the kinds of vehicles we use, then the more we can expect to be taxed in one form or another.

I have a concern, I went to open a non interest baring account and was told I needed a SS#, I said I did not think so I had ample information, I also said that I wanted to know why they offer this to non-American citizens without requiring a SS# yet because I'm a citizen I have to give them my SS#, his answer was the patriot act requires American citizens SS#, not people who are not citizens. Why am I being treated unfairly because I am an American yet if you are not an American you do not have to give this SS#?

So am I to believe only American citizens can be traced through SS#?
