I don't understand why the media uses "Uneducated" every time they talk about the rural demographic. Does the urban inner city demographic not have uneducated voters? I find these breakdowns very insulting.

Studies show that uneducated voters are irrational and are less inclined to vote, and educated voters are more likely to research their vote. I just think uneducated is the wrong word to use. The most important  factor in voter turnout is education; but one can't assume the most educated voters have the highest IQ scores. (Let’s not forget that Abraham Lincoln had less than a year of formal education.)

So what is the great plan for all this ridiculous stereotyping?

I see your point, but think about. What do you want them to be called, "stupid, idiotic or goofy"? See, then that wouldn't be politically correct becasue some might get their feelings hurt. LOL

Okay, the analogy of Abe Lincoln is getting a bit boring. We all know that only a rare breed of souls supercede the norm.

Let's also not forget that some people may have a high IQ, but have not voting common sense.

Education comes in many ways, not just in school.
You can be a high school dropout, & be educated on a subject!
Probably the reference is made that if your vote is because of race, gender, age, etc., than it is uneducated!
I think this term is often used instead of unresearched, maybe.

Education involves more than schooling.
You can be a high school dopout & be educated on a subject.
