I believe Wal-Mart has seen the error of it's policies thanks, I'm sure, to the public outcry:

No, they aren't going broke, they are just the epitome of corporate greed run rampant in this country. Corporate greed that is supported by your Republican Party and their right wing neocon cronies. Is Exxon-Mobil, BP, Chevron, and the other oil companies I didn't mention going broke? Are the pharmaceutical companies going broke? Even if they do go broke, no worries, Bush the Smirking Chimp will just bail them out like he did when he gave Bear & Stearns $30 billion dollars.

Anyone that feels sorry for these bastards deserves to pay $4.00 for gasoline and all the other things that goes along with gas going up.

Westdil,I am going to disagree with you, this offer by Wal-Mart was only because of the bad P.R. Wal-Mart could care less about mankind. They are evil I have not shopped with the devil for 10 years and if they were the only store on this planet I would close my body with nature and eat off the land. But thanks for your input I hope people see Wal-Mart for what they are Flipnotic nails it on the head.

Judgenot, you are a better person than I for not shopping at Walmart. Congratulations for not shopping at Walmart for 10 years. That is awesome. I need to wean myself from Walmart. Everywhere I live there is a Walmart nearby. I try shopping at HEB mostly but I find myself in Walmart for the best deals. I like shopping at Home Depot too but I'm not to pleased with some of their policies either. I moved to Cedar Creek last November and there isn't much else out here. I am also the only one on this street with an Obama sign but I am rooting for him.

Walmart has not seen the error of their ways, and they never will. They only care about making money at the expense of the American people. How a multi-billion dollar company can go after one person like that (and get away with it) is beyond my comprehension.
Judgenot, I too refuse to shop Walmart and have for years now. I pay more for the same things, and I complain to myself about it, but the alternative is not an option for me.
I will not be a party to the destruction of this country. It's that simple. Good post.
