Let me ask this what does Winter Holiday mean? I am under the understanding it is a politically correct way of expressing Christmas Hmmmm!  We are coming up on the holidays that we as Americans know as religious Holidays do you agree? My question is are Christians getting a fair shake or does it matter that our beliefs are somehow being changed. I know there is a push for other religions in our schools fine with me we have that freedom or do we?

What exactly does our freedom of religion mean? I don’t know. I do know however if I go into parts of the world I can speak of Christianity in certain areas but not in all, although our country allows you to bring in your beliefs into our schools such as we have as Americans the Winter Holiday, Muslims have Rhamadan, Jewish people have Haunika, I guess what I’m asking is where is God in our Christian faith has it some how become all about Santa or Winter? Were Jesus our Greatest Gift I don’t hear his name? Does our country truly allow freedom equally?

Every aspect of our American culture(the customs and beliefs that make us who we are)is being whittled down to try to be politicaly correct. I wonder, why are people coming to America? It obviously is not to become Americans. Every culture that comes here has no intention on becoming a part of OUR society. They come here with the intent of making it THIER society! We were founded by Christian people with Christian beliefs. If this is not what the immigrants want, why are they here?We celebrate the birth of Jesus with a Nativity scene.LEAVE US ALONE!!!!Celebrate your holiday any way you want to,I don't care...We say MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! LEAVE US ALONE!!If you are sooooooo offended by our culture..BYE! BYE!
As far as Santa Clause and the whole shop till you drop aspect, this is something we allowed the merchants to create. They are trying to create the same thing with Easter..."What did you get your child for Easter"? Parker Brothers had an add last year with a game taped to a stuffed rabbit.Denoting that we need to get the little ones presents ,then of course if we get the kids a gift...what about Mom,Dad,Grandma,Grandpa,etc..etc.. Brainwashing to the max.

Murphy, and Robin, Last year I was asked to take from my window of my office I lease a expression of our savior Jesus Christ didn't do it the owners of the building would pay me to take it down and pay to have anything but Jesus Christ’s or Gods name in place of what I had wouldn't do it I called news media and shortly after received a call from building owners stating I could leave it up, If you are personally attacked by anti groups please don't let it go we must be heard we as Christians Have Rights.

I totally agree with murphy2747. If everyone has the freedom in this country to worhsip the way they want, why are Christians being asked to change everything we have come to know about Christmas and Jessus and the holidays ? If the immigrants coming here don't like, then go back to where you came from !!!! Then you can do whatever the hell you want without infringing on our rights as Americans !

Oh man...could I go on and on about this. Murphy has hit it on the head. This country was founded by Christians and those beliefs. Why do we, (Christian's and American's) have to go out of our way to make sure WE are politically correct? All the while, we are not allowed to express OUR beliefs or OUR rights. All other religions are allowed to express themselves, but I am no longer allowed. Just not right.

Judgenot,

I get tired of people who insist we should say "happy holidays" rather than "Merry Christmas," to ensure we don't offend anyone.

I prefer "Merry Christmas."

If a business wished me "happy holidays" then I will not do business with them again----EVER!! It's CHRISTmas-plain and simple, always has been, and if CHRISTIANS will pull together--it always will be--Merry CHRISTmas!!

You folks are unbelievable, going out of your way to find something to feel offended about. Make it up if there's nothing. So there are people who celebrate different holidays from yours. Wow. How on earth does that diminish you or your holidays or your imaginary friends in any way?
