Details are here now.

Before the stars strutted down the runway in the Star of Hope Shelter's 10th annual  "Celebrity Fashion Show" at the River Oaks Country Club, ladies from the Trees of Hope organization, including international philanthropist and socialite Lynn Wyatt, presented a check for ONE MILLION DOLLARS to Kathy and Randy Tabor for the homeless children of the Star of Hope.

The check presentation was the morning's initial high point for an annual event that usually raises several hundred thousand dollars.

Randy Tabor, Star of Hope's executive director says, "donations for non-profits are way down. And Star of Hope is feeling it, too. The money raised will go a long way to maintain services and possibly expand programs for men and families that are in crisis."

The other high point was the actual fashion show. Television, radio and print journalists and personalities, some management types, and some real professional models took to the runway to "strut our stuff" in some great fashions... both casual and business wear.

Fabulous fashions were provided by Uptown's BBI, Veneto and Lucho, arranged by Marilyn Fountain and producer Todd Ramos. Additional models were furnished by Paige Parks.

Thanks Kagua2. I use the cigar and cane as props whenever I do the fashion show. I'm honored to have been a part of it since it started. And, they keep asking me back. They must be gluttons for punishment.
