David Cook's New Axe

I know I'm probably one of the few guitar geeks who noticed that David Cook was playing a new guitar when he was jamming with ZZ Top. I didn't recognize it, so I had to rewind, pause and look really close to see the name "Luna" on the headstock. A quick search on the 'net and I found out that this company called Luna Guitars has provided guitars for several of the Idol top 10.

They sell for about $400 to $600, but it looked to me that the one they gave David C on Wednesday night was custom made just for him. Their website confirmed that too. I'll take one of them if you all can't think of what to get me for Christmas.

Good work Mike, I was not aware of these guitars but now I'm interested. I of course noticed that David was playing a new axe when he took the stage with ZZ. I'm wondering if that was product placement or if he chose that one himself. During the season I noticed that Jason Castro played at least two different brands of accoustic guitars.

I'm still in the market for a new guitar but I just can't settle on one. Price is the biggest issue so I have been trying to do as much research as possible. But I am curious about these instruments now that you have brought them to my attention. Well done!
