This morning we interviewed long-time KPRC meteorologist Doug Johnson about the passing of his friend Ron Stone.  During the interview, he shared some video of a weather forecasting chicken that took over their studio years ago.  So, I want to know which animal do you think we should hire as a forecaster?  The dog has already been taken.  I vote for a duckling because they're cute and small and easy to take care of.  What do you think?

I like the ducky...but what about something like a weather rat? Something like the groundhog, but it comes out of its den more than once a year to see its shadow.

The Weather Cat!

Kitty purrs: tuna in the forecast.
Kitty lays down: cleaning his butt.
Kitty stands up: the dog is bothering him.
Kitty under the coffee table: rain.
Kitty in the closet: tornado.
Kitty mad: wind--fur is blowing backwards.

I think a weather cat would be great along with a weather dog. The cat name can be Sunny and the dog name can be Doppler. I think fox 26 should let the animals be on fox 26 during the morning and night news cast. Kprc used to have a dog name Radar who is now at the weather musem.

Hello, this is Mike Iscovitz, meteorologist for Fox 26 News. When I'm not at work, I'm spending time with my wife and beautiful twin girls. They are an incredible blessing.
