I am writing to inform you about a "Green Gallery," opening up soon on August 7th. 

 
Green House Gallery will be opening up soon and we have about two more months until the Opening Reception on September 19th.
 
All of the Artists participating in the gallery are Green Artists and will promote environmental issues. 

 We all have reasons on why we are green. For this reason we have created a "Why go Green? "page on our site.
 
Here is why we are GREEN:
 
1. The gallery is painted green.
2. We house green art subjects.
3. We house green artists.
4. We support green causes.
5. We support our community through various personal ch arities that are Green.

As an artist I am always working on new projects. My most current is called Houstonians- People, Places and Things.

Starbucks Adds Italian Scooters to Its Menus

 

Houston- The Starbucks on 3407 Montrose Blvd. Ste B1, 77006, is adding the art work of Elizabeth Cencini, to its flavorful stylish decor. The works are on view from May 6 -June 8, 2008. Elizabeth’s work sticks with the Italian themed coffee shop and is contemporary and refreshing.

Elizabeth Cencini is a native Houstonian and student at the University of Houston. She is seeking a degree in Painting. She has studied art in various locations in Florence, Italy. While a student at Accademia del Giglio and Libera Accademia di Belle Arti, she learned techniques such as Italian fresco, Roman Byzantine mosaics, figure drawing and the master techniques in oil painting. She has also studied with internationally known Master Artist Franco Rossi of Arezzo, Italy.

Elizabeth admires Italian culture and loves to bring those memories back by painting. Her Vespa and scooter collection has been on view at the Italian Cultural Center in April of 2008. Click here to view pictures from the event. http://picasaweb.google.com/paparazi/2008_04_05Italian

Coffee Tasting Community Event

The Meet the Artist and Community Coffee Tasting event will run from 6:00–7:00 p.m. Meet the Artist from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

The Coffee Community is a new group in Houston that meets every other Wednesday at Starbucks on Montrose.

ElizabethCencini

Elizabeth Cencini is a student and Painting Major at the University of Houston. Her work is inspired by Italian culture and can range from traditional taste to contemporary. She has traveled to Florence, Italy to receive her training in fine painting. While a student at Accademia del Giglio and Libera Accademia di Belle Arti, she learned techniques such as Italian fresco, Roman Byzantine mosaics, figure drawing and the master techniques in oil painting.
