Out of sheer curiosity. When is the next Blooger picnic gonna happen? I'd love to see Texas-Debs and her husband, Snoopy, yahyahmoro, Unbelievabull and Storm Chaser again...

I cant wait to meet you all. I think we should have it at the new park DT or at least in the loop.

The new park by the convention center sounds like a great place.

I want to see all those people again too... LOL.

I'm hoping to get it going again really soon. I guess we can start talking about a spot. I had three in mind (in this order):

1. Eleanor Tinsley Park-- Located across 45 from downtown along Allen Parkway. It's got four covered picnic tables, trash cans, benches, a swing set for the kids, a sand volley ball court minus the net, a large grass area and free parking right next to all of the above. Plus it has Downtown as a backdrop so it's GREAT for taking pictures. (Especially with friends like ya'll!) :-)

2. Discovery Green-- Located Downtown. The new park. Easy access (depending which way you come into downtown), a parking garage underneath (price to park there--???), plenty of room, and what sounds like some nice amenities. I've only driven past it and so I don't know exactly what all is there.

3. The Water Wall-- Located in Uptown. It's the water wall. Right at the bottom of Williams Tower, 3 acres of open grass, trash cans, benches, free parking in Dillard's which is only a block away. Lot might be crowded and traffic horrible on a Saturday tho.

What do ya'll think? I guess we've started planning now! :-) My vote goes for Eleanor Tinsley.

If that's as far south as you can get it, 1 or 2 would get my vote, in that order, but I can't promise that I'll be available. It sounds great though, especially if it's done before it gets too hot.

Cant do the waterwall. The waterwall is actually private property that is open for public viewing. I have been kicked out of there for taking pictures. I use to go there all the time and took some realy great shots but you have to have written permission to do anything there.
My vote is for the DG park and parking is $5 I believe.

I love movies, football (go Texans!) cooking, reading, anime and getting my "news Jones" on. I read Associated Press, Reuters, UPI and the BBC when I get a chance and have been watching Fox news since Fran Fawcett (Farah's sister) was an anchor. I love the morning news and Pattie is just too cuddly-sexy-cute not to be my favorite.
