Hi everyone. I've been in the kitchen since the moment I entered the world. My family had a restaurant in the California wine country for over 50 years and I spent my early childhood years stirring sauces and making ravioli with my Noni (grandmother). I have lived in Italy, all over California, Chicago and now call Houston home. I am passionate about helping people learn to cook in a healthy and delicous way. I want you to get comfortable in the kitchen so you can bring wonderful food to your family's table. I especially want you to get your children off to the right start. I left the restaurant buisness when we moved to Chicago 6 years ago and now concentrate on teaching, writing and doing different types of media work involving food. I have had the opportunity to cook for many celebrities, my favorite being Oprah Winfrey. I am involved in two wonderful not for profits: "Common Threads" in Chicago, and "Recipe for Success" here in Houston. Both of these programs reach out to children and teach them, amongst other things, how to cook. I have a daughter in 5th grade, a wonderful husband and two Siberian Huskies. By the way, my daughter LOVES vegetables...your kids can too!
