Something to think about at the voting booth...

If, by law, to become a United States citizen one must have some grasp on the english language.  By no means does this mean one must be a scholar.  Why is it then that we have election ballots in other languages?  Just a thought...

They go to all means to accommodate our southern visitors, it seems, & laws mean nothing.
This "personal greed" by Americans may be self destructive!
We have oil companies using our Country's resources to gain profit, we have Americans wanting the cheap labor--perhaps, ALL with a cost to other Americans?
Citizen requests for "a knowledge of, & respect for our laws & Country" are not unreasonable!
I never knew that this was available!

ENGLISH SHOULD BE THE OFFICAL LANGUAGE OF THE U.S. BUT AS YOU KNOW SPANISH HAS BEEN SPOKEN IN THIS PART OF THE NATION SINCE BEFORE THE U.S. IT IS A TRICKY ISSUE BUT SINCE I HAD TO LEARN TO SPEAK , READ & WRITE ENGLISH SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE .

I am just your normal kilt wearing Texans fan. Texan born and proud of it. I have varied opinions about many issues, as you might have already read. I do like a great discussion, some would call arguements...you say tomatoe, I say tomato. Be happy while you're living, for you're a long time dead.
