Thoughts of HoMan

Today in New Orleans Bush and the leaders from Mexico and Canada are signing papers to join us all into one big happy family.  There is a huge rally that is being held outside of this travisty...here is a little more about it...

President Bush, Mexico's President Calderon and Canadian Prime Minister Harper will be in New Orleans for this year's North American Leaders Summit. On April 21-22 the three so-called leaders will be discussing further implementation of the Security and Prosperity Partnership in the city that Bush turned his back on just a few years ago. This is a high profile event with media that spans the globe.

There are so many things that We The People need to protest. It is clear that changes will not be made until we take a stand. This protest will be like that of Martin Luther King Jr. in the 60's. Like the issues of those days, changes were not made until the American people united in protest. This is that time for us, now. No matter your issue, this is the time to take a stand for what you believe in. If the founders of this nation knew that 200 years down the road the American People would not take a stand to correct the problems that our corrupted, greedy politicians have created they would be ashamed. Don't let them down!

There are many people who will be attending and some are going to have differing viewpoints on certain issues but it vitally important to put aside our differences and keep the peace. In the NOLA link above, I have put up links where you can make hotel reservations, get info on restaurants and nightclubs and a link to download coupons that can be used during your stay in New Orleans. Yes, it is important to spend a little cash into New Orleans' economy and let's have fun while we are there!

We will meet at Jackson Square (801 Chartres,
Map to Jackson Square) at 8 am on the 21st and 22nd and will be wearing white armbands. If you're interested make a banner, dress in costume and let's have fun while we demand change! And visit CorrupTees for t-shirts and banners to bring to the protest. Remember, this is a leaderless protest. There is not one person or group that is sponsoring this event, this is about each American taking the initiative to peacably assemble as prescribed by the first amendment.

Now let's see if they turn this around like they did the Trans Texas Corridor rally where they said "all the protesters were against paying tolls."  Um, no we are against a mass terrorist highway going through our backyards, and our government taking our land ...

Keep and eye on this people...it is no joke...the NAU is coming wherther you are on board or not...just goole the Amero...our new money that is already being coin in US mints....

Just an update on this...It seems the state police have stated that any protest in and around the area of the summit will be treated as a hostile riot...and the news media there has also advised people to stay away from this and said they will not cover the protests because they will only be reporting arrests. Is it just me or isn't that what news media does...covers stories people want?

Man Oh Man!!!

Outrageous! But can they do that? I mean...protesting is a right protected under law...if it is peaceful that is.

they can and are doing that...it is ridiculous and unheard of...but i expect nothing less of this group...they want to sweep our country out from under us the easiest way they can and as low under the radar as possible...

THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT & SENSIBLE BLOGS EVER POSTED, but I doubt that it will get much response!
I cannot believe that Americans will let someone take our country away from us, sell us out--without a fight!
But we are so diverse--so busy fighting our personal battles--
& so interested in "sitting on our butt, responding to blogs" while a greedy power surrounds us & takes away our freedom!
Things will DRAMATICALLY change in the coming months--& the voices will be LOUD--but NOT heard!!

Thank you for your posting this info---

I think it is interesting the the Summit hasn't really been meantioned in the news and it's in one of the oddest places.

I also think that it's funny that Hillary and Obama want to make it seem like they are so agaisnt NAFTA, yet Hillary backed Bill when he firsted introduced it and Obama is sending messages to Canadian officals that what he says during this election cycle is just to get votes.

So the 21st, and 22nd came and went. Is there an update from how the protest went? Did it even take place?

The protest happened and was, of course, downplayed by media. They were not allowed within 2-3 blocks from where the actual "give away signing" was taking place.

In addition to all this...there was a group of congressmen/women that signed petitions to have bush let them view what was being signed...and he refused stating it is confidential...fishy things ging on.

I watched the news for all or any of this and it was lame. The news just showed the 3 leaders in New Orleans saying it was a a summit and then quickly flipped up the video of Bush dancing with a jazz band.
That was both network and local coverage. Did anyone see any in depth coverage of this?

This whole thing seems to have been swept under the carpet. I only heard about it Monday, and nothing since then.

I thought Canada had voted NO GO. Their prime minister cannot do this without the country's approval.
My mom has been in chat rooms and discussing it with her Canadian friends for some time. All her Canadian buds say that Canadians say HECK NO!!

And foe, yes you can protest..but you'd better be prepared for the fallout. Being placed on a watch list is only the beginning!

I am just your normal kilt wearing Texans fan. Texan born and proud of it. I have varied opinions about many issues, as you might have already read. I do like a great discussion, some would call arguements...you say tomatoe, I say tomato. Be happy while you're living, for you're a long time dead.
