Hello Everyone:
I’m sorry I’ve been mia for the last few weeks but things have been moving very fast. Currently, I’m training and staying in top shape in preparation of training camp. I’ve packed on several more pounds of muscle and I’m currently up to 185 lbs. and I feel as strong and “Quick” as ever!
I’ve had several individual workouts with several NFL teams and they all appear to be interested in me. Honestly, the whole draft process has been a blessing from God. I’ve met a lot of interesting people from folks that are already in the NFL and people like D-Mac from Arkansas to Jason Rivers from Hawaii, to name a few.
I’ve been staying busy and I feel very comfortable making the transition from being a student-athlete to a professional athlete. This is a great honor and responsibility and I’m proud to represent the University of Houston, the state of Texas, and my wonderful family.
I’m really trying to enjoy the process up until the 26th (draft time). That’s all that’s going on with me. I’m glad that you people want to know what I’m doing and I hope that I don’t let any of you down. Nothing is guaranteed but I promise you that where ever I go, I will work really hard and do my very best to make ya’ll proud.
What teams do you think I would be a good fit? Where would you like me to play?

It is now time for the combine. Earlier this week I worked with 9 time Olympic gold medalist and U of H legend, Carl Lewis. He helped me a great deal on my start. I look
forward to being in Indianapolis and showing everyone what the University of Houston has to offer. I’ve included some photos of me and Carl. Any predictions on my 40 time?
Who do you think will have the fastest 40 time this week?
Thanks for all of your support and prayers. Now I'm off to Indy...Wish me luck!

Wow! What a Superbowl! Who would have ever thought the Giants would come out and dominate the playoffs like they did? The Patriots have been 18-0, no one gave the Giants a chance but they came out and dominated in every face of the game...and yes I was going for the Giants!
Some of the things I go through with James Cooper are difficult. We run hills backwards and forwards and we also do shuttles on the hills. We do "L" drills, broad jumps, and we also run the 40. Training is very tiring but it is all worth it in the end. Working out with Vince Young is a great experience. He is teaching me a lot about the way they run routes in the NFL, the timing between quarterbacks and receivers, and how to stay disciplined in the routes. Not only is he teaching me on the field issues but also about the business of the NFL. Im glad to be working out with him.
I go to Joy Tabernacle on 4922 Griggs road. This Sunday is our church anniversary. Church is on Sunday at 9:30am. I play drums there every week so come check us out! My church back home is Friendly Fellowship in Fort Worth, TX. That's my Dad's church and our anniversary is this week as well! If u love your church give me a shout out and let me know what church you go to! Any predictions on what team I will go to? What team do you want to see me play for? - Quick

MWilson- I am glad that Calder was at the game to share my Shrine game experience. Kids have a special place in my heart. One of my goals is to establish a children’s group home in Houston.
ShockerBod- It would be an incredible experience to play on Sundays with the Texans. Bottom line, I just want to play football in the NFL and score touchdowns!
XCougar- I am training really hard for the combine and the UH pro-day so I have not had time to just hang out. Hopefully we can get together between the UH pro-day and the draft.
ILoveTheCoogs- Hey Stephanie- Luv ya too!
DOCTORLOVE- What’s up Doc? I love that name. I had told my agent that I was going to do the Solja Boy dance when I scored a TD. He promised to do the dance in the stands. Did you see him? He claims to be a great dancer so I am looking for proof of his skills. Do you have any suggestions for my first NFL dance?
I am training for the combine and the UH pro-day with James “Coop” Cooper. Coop is a great trainer with a proven record for his guys. I am training with several guys, such as: Jamal Charles and Billy Pittman, UT, Henry Smith, A&M, Clyde Edwards, Grambling and Aaron Weather, North Texas, just to name a few. We are a competitive group so we push each other every day. Training with them gives me the opportunity to measure my progress leading up to the combine. Vince Young is also training with us, so we get to pick his brain about the pre-draft process and playing in the NFL.
I am also working on improving my speed in the 40. Any predictions about my 40 time at the combine?
Sundays are our days off from training so I am going rest and enjoy the Super Bowl. I am going to eat a ton of my favorite Super Bowl food- wings and nachos. Other than food what makes a good Super Bowl party?
Are there any Super Bowl parties in Houston that I can crash?
Any Super Bowl predictions?

Houston's Shrine Game

Being invited to play in the Shrine game in my home stadium was a great experience. I was humbled by the children we met when we visited the Shriners hospital.
I talked much more than normal during the game because I was mic'd up. I tried to use the opportunity to entertain the Shriner children and the fans while showcasing my skills.
Scoring my final touchdown as a college player in Robertson Stadium as a player in the Shrine game will always be special.
Anyone else have a special memory from their final semester in high school or college?
