Inspired by Dwight Eisenhower's legendary farewell speech (in which he coined the phrase 'military industrial complex'), filmmaker Jarecki surveys the scorched landscape of a half-century's military adventures, asking how and telling why a nation of, by, and for the people has become the savings-and-loan of a system whose survival depends on a state of constant war.

"Why We Fight" moves beyond the headlines of various American military operations to the deeper questions of why, why does America fight? What are the forces; political, economic, and ideological, that drive them to fight against an ever-changing enemy?

You don't have a clue as to why American's fight! Other than Iraq, Americans fight back! If you actually read, look at the history of the United States. Do you think you would even be alive if Germany had won WWII? No and neither would any of your Muslim people. See what happens when a Dictator (Allah) wants to rule the world? America fights back and as the Japanese Admiral said after the bombing of Pearl Harbor" I afraid we have awakened a sleeping giant"! Just keep pushing and the giant will emerge. The land is open to immigrants who legally come here and they are allowed to worship any faith they wish. Now your Muslim beliefs are being forced upon Americans so be ready! America will fight back!

We get involved in countless conflicts that have nothing to do with us or our safety as a nation. Why? Because its profitable. McCain gives an interview in this documentary, you'll be interested in what he has to say.

Natural Selection - Most of the American population is composed of immigrants and descendents of immigrants from every portion of the planet Earth. Those immigrants represent the brave, the adventurous, the oppressed. the strong. the survivors of many Nations. They are those who opposed intolerance, poverty, starvation, and tyranny in their home countries - and they breed true to form now.

Americans are bred to be Survivors, exhibiting those same adventurous traits that led their forefathers to come here. They are takers, movers, and shakers. They don't like to be told what to do or say or think. When we are hit, we hit back - HARD !!! Do most of us apologise for that - NO !!!

You want to quote Presidents? Teddy Roosevelt said - "The world may come to fear us, even hate us, but they will never come to love us." We are not perfect - we are not saviours - we are not stay-at-home stick-in-the-muds (most of that trait was left behind when our forefathers left their homes over the centuries to come here.) We are doers - it is bred into us. We are not always rigbt (but nobody is), but we never quit - thus we Fight !!!
