Astros recall catcher Quintero because of Towles' injury
The Astros today purchased the contract of catcher Humberto Quintero from Class AAA Round Rock and designated infielder/outfielder David Newhan for assignment.
The move came after Sunday’s injury to catcher J.R. Towles, who was hit by a pitch and suffered a bruised left hand in a win over Florida. Towles was examined Monday by team physician Dr. David Mehlhoff, who confirmed Sunday’s diagnosis that no bones were broken.
Thank Goodness I can't wait til the ASTROS are ALL healthy
