The Matthew Shepard Act (S 1105) will be voted on Thursday Sept. 27, 2007

This legislation has been endorsed by over 280 Civic, Religious and Law Organizations.

It would provide funding to help Law Enforcement Agencies investigate and prosecute violent Hate Crimes.

I am a supporter of the Human Rights Campaign and hope this well needed bill will pass.

We have the right to have an opinion and we have the right to be selective but no one has the right to be violent to another person due to their passion and hate because they do not agree with their race, color, looks, disability or even sexual orientation.

Matthew Shepard was a young student at the University of Wyoming.

October 7, 1998, Matthew met Aaron McKinney and Russel Henderson at a bar and shortly after midnight they offered Matthew a ride home.  Their intent was to rob Matthew at gun point.  Then later with Matthew's keys, go and burglarize his home.

They pistol whipped and severely beat Matthew until he became unconscious.
They took him to a rural area, tied him to a farm fence and left him to die.

He was found 18 hours later with severe brain stem damage with injuries deemed to be too severe for doctors to operate.

There were about a dozen lacerations around his head and neck. He was pronounced dead at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins.

His two assailants, Aaron McKinney and Russel Henderson were arrested, convicted and imprisoned under statue laws.

This Hate Crime legislation would carry a stronger penalty and close loopholes.

                                     MARS BARS CATS - Perhaps for a good reason.

Houston  has a problem here on Earth with overpopulated abandoned Pets roaming the neighborhoods.

The once loved and adored Pets are being abandon by many Owners to fend for themselves.  This often happens in moving from one home to another.

Abandoned Domestic Pets then become feral and suffer from starvation and become sick can be an unnecessary health problem for one and all.

I always think a fed and watered stray is better than seeing a diseased animal roaming and becoming a health problem to all concerned and the Trap Fix and Release method is better than having to spend Tax money on the 2,000 or more each month  for euthanasia.

B.A.R.K the City Animal Control is greatly underfunded and cannot cope with this situation.

The million dollar budget of our taxes is not enough to run the site efficient enough and we must  solve the problem and soon.

California and other States are proposing a mandatory order to get Pet Owners to have their Pets Sterilized (other than for breeding purposes).

The Neuter and Spay of Pets prevents overpopulation and is a benefit  to the health of the Animal in later years from many known problems and cancers.

HOUSTON - The problem can be resolved by following other State lines and making it Law to have Pets fixed as the Law already demands with vaccinations against the deadly Rabies Virus.

This would save money spent and relieve the City of the burden of its failed efforts to solve the over population.

How can we force the law ? - Simply by Apartment managers allowing only sterilized pets on their properties.  Others fined by the City and that money used for those who prove not to be able to afford the vet bill.

The yearly permit ($25?)for owning a pet could be eliminated and that money help to pay Pet Owners towards Sterilization.

I'm hoping y'all agree and help put a stop to the cruel situation these dumb furry friends are needlessly suffering.

Your letter, phone call or email to those who can make the difference would help to save not only the suffering but the cost to the City and tax payers.

Harry Potter's latest and possibly the last book is being released this Saturday.

Kids, (I know mine) just can't wait to get their noses into the book and I am too pleased to see them keep out of mischief and out of my hair for a full day. 

The Zealous separatists (Hewbrew Perushim) want to ban the release of this book because its released on their Sabbath.

They threaten to sue the stores who sell the Harry Potter Book if the stores sell it on a Saturday.

So much for Separation of Church and State when an Alien Religious group can dictate to the Nation where and when we trade and on what day.

The Jewish community will NOT be satisfied until they  CONTROL our EVERY MOVEMENT.

When will they understand this Nations was founded on CHRISTIANITY.

NOT JUDO-CHRISTIAN as many of their followers would like us to believe.

We tolerate all religions. That's is the meaning of freedom of religion.

Film maker Chris Paine examined the eventual destruction of the  giant General Motors "All Electric Car,   the  EV-1."

An automobile that does NOT require Gas, Oil, Muffler or Brake Changes and much more.

Pollution free and some could travel 300 miles @ 70 mph without re-charging. 

General Motors decided to recall all those built and secretly crush them to clear the market of these pollution free vehicles.

WHY ?  Because they make money BUT not enough for G.M.

They make more money on Internal Combustion Engines (gas guzzler polluters) from after sales like oil and air filters and more.

They are also afraid of the Dealerships not making enough profit from warranty services.

Kroger is one of my favorite stores where the produce is  fresh and reasonably priced.
Chimney Rock store was one I had not visited and on passing I stopped to get some food.

A real nice layout with plenty of fresh veggies and cheaper than my local store.

"Remolochas Nelmanojo"    Well, I wondered what that was???

I asked a smart looking guy in a white shirt and badge (probably an assistant manager, I couldn't pronounce his name ??)

Could you tell me, is that some kind of a new vegetable?

A blank unbelievable look replied, "Its translated under the title, SIR, see SIR.  THERE !"

Habas Verdes = Green Beans.

Verdes De La Mostaza = Mustard Greens. 

Lechuge Roja De La Hoja = Red Leaf Lettace.

Agrupan Los Rabanos Rojos = Bunch of Radishes.

Manojo Del Apio = Bunch of Celery.

Cebollas Verdes = Green Onions.

I ran out of paper to write on and out of breath I decided to get some cookies.

Check out time and I stood listening to the store  music of Muncho, Muncho something until I got the attention of the two (Mexican nattering) check out clerks who were more interested in a "Talk session" than checking me out.

Will I shop there again???   Sure, Now I know what a Bunch of Beets are called.

Cell phone MIS- USED in Banks, Post Offices, Movies, Weddings, Classrooms and more.

Driving has become a hazard through the lack of concentration using cell phones and increased  road rage is a result of it.

Many Countries are now using jammer systems which come the size of a cell phone, battery operated and cover a range from 30 feet to over half a mile to block the use in certain areas.

France and India have devised jammers that let emergency vehicles go through while blocking other signals.

Corporations use Jammers to stop corporate espionage by blocking voice transmissions.

American Law see the blocking of a cell phone as "Property Theft" and the first offenders use is $11,000 fine or 1 year.  I call it    "Blocking a Nuisance."

When President Bush visited London in Nov.2004, it was reported that British Police used jammers to protect the president's motorcade through London.

Can someone tell me why our troops in Iraq are not supplies with Jammers to protect convoys.????

Most I.E.D's that explode are triggered by ordinary cell phones and Jammers would block the signal and we'd suffer less casualties.

Folks !!!     This may well work or is it another "DON'T SHOOT UNLESS YOUR SHOT AT"

The people write, call, email and speak in person to their respective representative and many of the votes in congress result in a unanimous conclusions 80% AND MORE IN FAVOR and the President with the stroke of his pen personally VETO'S the bill.
