I know many people who live in Houston and surrounding areas have heard the sad news of the horrible bus accident Emilio Navaira was in yesterday morning.  I ask all bloggers, not just Christian bloggers to keep him in your prayers and his family of course.

He is a tremendous Tejano entertainer for so many years.  Very well known artist.  You can tell by Emilio being the headline news yesterday evening and even today.  This brings me memories of when Selena passed away.  The community came together and the community is together again.

I ask you to keep him in your prayers, and of course for this family to stay strong.  I know they believe in God Almighty.  I pray God will give them the grace and peace they need in the coming days.

Have a Blessed evening.  Stay safe.

GOD'S RESUME

Can you imagine what it would be like if God had a resume? It might look something like the following:

To Whom It May Concern:

I heard you were considering a new manager in your life. I would like to apply for the job. I believe I am the most qualified candidate. I am the only one that has ever done this job successfully. I was the first manager of human beings. In fact I made them, so naturally I know how humanity works, and what is best to get people back into proper working condition.

It will be like having the manufacturer as your personal mechanic. If this is your first time considering me, I would just like to point out that my salary has already been paid by the blood of my son, Jesus on the cross of Calvary. What I need from you is the acknowledgment that the price is sufficient to pay for all of your sin and your independence from Me. I need you to believe this in your heart and to tell somebody else about your decision with your mouth.

The next thing I ask is the right to change and fix your life so you can learn how to stay close to Me. I will make some major changes and revisions. They are not for you to worry about. I need your permission to execute these changes, My way and in My time, will change your desires and give you the strength to make the changes. Please keep your hands out of the way. Don't try to help me and Don't resist me. I really do need your full commitment and cooperation. If you give me those, the process can go smoothly, without delays.

Yours Sincerely,

GOD

This is one of the best clean jokes I've see n in awhile!

Jesus and Satan were having an on-going argument about who was better on the computer. They had been going at it for days, and frankly God was tired of hearing all the bickering.
Finally fed up, God said, "THAT'S IT! I have had enough. I am going to set up a test that will run for two hours, and from those results, I will judge who does the better job."

So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.

             They moused.

            They faxed.

             They e-mailed.

            They e-mailed with attachments.

            They downloaded.

            They did spreadsheets!

            They wrote reports.

            They created labels and cards.

            They created charts and graphs.

            They did some genealogy reports.

They did every job known to man.

Jesus worked with heavenly efficiency and Satan was faster than hell. Then, ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, rain poured, and, of course, the power went off. Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in the underworld. Jesus just sighed.

Finally the electricity came back on, and each of them restarted their computers. Satan started searching frantically, screaming:

"It's gone! It's all GONE! "I lost everything when the power went out!"

Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past two hours of work.

Satan observed this and became irate.

"Wait!" he screamed. "That's not fair! He cheated!
How come he has all his work and I don't have any?"

God just shrugged and said,

            "JESUS SAVES"

    • Life lessons learned help you to bounce back with more resiliency after setbacks, disappointments or loss.

    • You focus less on the mess and stress and have more gratitude for your blessings and success.
