I am surprised I didn't see a few blogs about the 10th anniversary of the death of Princess Diana.  I would have liked to have seen a few notes or messages for her and her sons.

So I decided to do a blog in her memory.

I will not be long winded, just thought she was the best Mom to her sons.  Yes, she did a lot of other things, charity, etc and somethings a lot of people didn't approve of.  She did raised two great kids who are very good young adult men right now.  Both of them have her charm.

Today is not a day to bring Princess Diana down.  I know everyone has an opinion.

I just pray she is resting in peace.  God have mercy on her soul.

You know, I thought the same exact thing. Finished my work and came here to see what people were saying about her loss. Nothing except yours, wondering the same thing I was.

I was up late one night, trying to learn from a book how to braid hair. My daughter and husband were sleeping in the other room, when the news came on that she'd been severely injured in a wreck. When I went to bed, she was still alive.
That next morning I heard she'd died. I was devastated. I was never a fairy tale princess kind of girl, but Diana was the exception for me. I was one of those dorks who got up at 2am to watch the royal wedding, who was excited when she had her babies, who watched her dance with John Travolta at the White House. I was cheering her on when she wore the "F**k you" dress when the Charles & Camilla audio tapes were made public. I mourned with her when her dad died, I was embarrassed for her when her own pecadilloes became public.

I think that's why everyone loved her so much..she was human and had no problem admitting her failures, when the people surrounding her prissed around like they thought they were the Holy Family themselves. And she realized that she wasn't the only human being on earth..she caught he** from the Queen for her work with AIDS patients, touching, hugging them when no one else would. (I think part of the reason she did that was maybe to thumb her nose at QE a little bit..QE had asked her "why do you get involved in all this nasty stuff" when she decided to work with AIDS patients. I probably would have done the same, too.)
To me, she was like the big sister I never had, but would have wanted. She showed the world that it was okay to be imperfect, to be distraught that the man you loved didn't love you, and that money, power, and history didn't always buy class. You could lose everything and still have it all.

Do I think the royals had something to do with her death? Absolutely. Did they ever find the supposed "paparazzo" that caused that crash? Also, she had said in earlier interviews she was planning on taking her boys and moving to the USA..and the royals said they would NEVER let that happen. Guess they were right.

1MyFox,

Both Di and Charles deserved a good relationship. It was unfortunate that under pressure to get married, he married a young woman he probably didn't love in the first place. And the same for her, marrying a man who was her polar opposite.

She was a remarkable woman. I can only dream of having the grace under pressure that she had. I was watching several shows on cable tonight about her. To the English, she was the People's Princess. To me, she was the only class act ever to be a part of the Royal Family. I've always viewed this as a tragic accident and not paid much attention to conspiracy theories.
