I try, but I know I am not the most knowledgeable Houston sports fan.  My favorite team to follow is the Astros, but I never can seem to catch up with the team until later in the Summer.
So how is the team looking this Spring?

The Astros are 6-8 so far.

The Astros have been dealing with minor aches and pains throughout the spring season, but earlier today, they were faced with the possibility of losing one of their future starting pitchers. Felipe Paulino flew back to Houston to be examined by team medical director David Lintner after complaining of soreness in his upper right arm. He also recently had an infection cut out of his right foot.

Berkman had quite a showing at the plate during today's game, but his day ended with a precautionary limp off the diamond after he felt tightness in his left leg. He will be able to rest Tuesday while the team plays in Sarasota. He is slated to play Wednesday against the Tigers in Lakeland

The Astros also provided an update on Kaz Matsui, who flew to Houston on Sunday to have what was suspected to be a hemorrhoid problem examined. The most recent diagnosis is "anal fissure," and Matsui was due back to Kissimmee today. He will hit and throw at the Astros' spring complex for four or five days and be
re-evaluated at that time.

J.R. Towles is expected to miss three to five days with a strained right hamstring, and for at least the next two, he'll refrain from participating in on-field activities.
He can catch bullpens but can't block balls in the dirt, and at this point he's limited to riding a stationary bike and walking on a treadmill.

Michael Bourn was kept out of the lineup on Sunday and again today
because of mid-back spasms, but he's expected to play Tuesday.

Reggie Abercrombie is recovering rapidly from the flu.

Thanks for the update. I sure hope this isn't a season indicator. It would be great to have an injury free season.

Wow. That's what I'm looking for! Thanks for the great detailed update to the Spring.
Go Astros!
